On our Grinch Afternoon Tea Bus Tour, you’ll enjoy a mischievously festive journey through the heart of London, taking in some of the capital’s most iconic Christmas lights and landmarks. This route passes by the world-famous Regent Street and Oxford Street lights, along with the glowing Trafalgar Square tree, the sparkling London Eye, the Ritz and the dazzling decorations of Hamleys, Liberty and Harrods, including their magical Christmas windows.

Where does the bus depart from?

NORTHUMBERLAND AVE
Outside the Corinthia Hotel, 10 Northumberland Avenue, WC2N 5AP

Only a 4 minute walk from Charing Cross Train station and 2 minutes from Embankment underground. The bus will be parked at the bus stop outside the Corinthia London Hotel. There are no public toilets in the vicinity. There is a toilet onboard for children. The bus leaves and returns from the same point.

Is there a toilet on-board and changing facilities?

No, there is no toilet or changing facilities on-board our Grinchmas Bus Tours. There are public toilet facilities and luggage lockers available at the station. Both are payable.

Why is the tour for over 5s only and do you allow babies?

Due to the length of the tour and having no toilets on board the bus, our Grinch tours are best suited, and enjoyed, by children of 5 years and over. Parents / guardians must be confident that all persons in their party will not need to use toilet facilities for the duration of the whole experience.

Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the 90min tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

Our Peppa Pig & PAW Patrol London tea bus tours are for children aged 2 and over.

We do NOT allow babies on board. We do allow babies on-board the bus if the whole bus is booked for private hire. Check out our Private Hire page or call us on 020 3026 1188 and one of the team will be able to advise you.

Will we be able to get off the bus?

No, the bus is only permitted to pick up and drop off passengers at our designated locations.

Are there seatbelts for the children?

No, we operate a 1960’s classic Routemaster bus, which was not fitted with seatbelts. We are not required to install seatbelts for health and safety. Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

How many people fit on a table and will we have to share?

Our tables sit up to four guests in a cosy setting. Let’s remember these are the original Routemaster bus seats and we’ve all got a lot larger than our 1960’s relations! Please bear this in mind when booking for your group.

Our VIP seating is for two guests and is situated on the upper deck at the very front of the bus.

If you are a group of 5, either book two tables near one another via our online booking system. Or alternatively, call our bookings team and we’d be happy to help you choose the best options available for your tour of choice.

Can we bring our own food for children with allergies or fussy eaters?

Yes. Please mention dietary requirements upon booking, but in the case we cannot meet your needs, own food is permitted.

What’s not included in my ticket price?

Alcoholic beverages are not included in your ticket price. You can pre-purchase Champagne, Prosecco or alcohol-free bubbles to your tea upon booking your tour. Please note: we are unable to sell alcohol onboard the bus.

Sensational

My family and I went on the Grinch Afternoon Tea Bus, we had such a wonderful, memorable afternoon. The staff were amazing and so attentive where nothing was too much trouble. They made this experience a really magical one. So lovely we now have treasured memories to remember and lovely to have a grinch travel mug as a memento. The pastries and food were really delicious, everything green it looked stunning. 💚

A GRINCHY GOOD TIME!

My husband and I took the Grinch Afternoon Tea with Christmas lights tour. We had such a fun time! The bus looked really cool with green fuzzy seats and lights. There was a nice selection of savory and sweet treats. I liked the cute travel cup they gave you. You even got to take home a box with anything you hadn't finished. It was nice to see lights while sitting. We had already walked all over looking at lights, so this was a real treat. Kyle, Emily and Paris were pleasant and helpful.

Family Fun Grinch Themed Excitement!

We did the Grinchmas Tea Bus Tour. It was fantastic and exceeded our every expectation. The atmosphere is very fun and of course Grinch themed. We are from the US and did not know what to expect food wise and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and amount. The sweets were our fave part. Our 6 year old daughter loved it and well so did we! Eric was the grand maestro on the bus with fun facts and made it a point to stop and chat either every table. I would definitely recommend!!!!

Best tea bus in town!!

Me and my boyfriend loved this tour! It’s filled with good vibes, fun and good music! We had some traffic during the tour but still managed to see the touristic points! The food is delicious and in the end we got to keep our the grinch cups!! The team was amazing, special thanks to Catherine, Michaels and Fabio ( I hope I got the names right). Totally recommend doing this 🥰
