Brigit’s Bakery provides L’Afternoon Tea; the unique combination of a fine English tradition, fused with a delicate French twist.

With over 6000 customers a month on several 1960’s Routemaster Buses, and 2000 more in our Covent Garden Bakery, we have become the main afternoon tea supplier in London. Our offices are located in Bermondsey, 10 minute’s walk from the tube station. Brigit’s has become a cultural landmark in London, by combining afternoon tea and sightseeing all in one. Not only do we run daily tours; the company is continuously booked for films, product launches, weddings, corporate events, Hen do’s and many more.

Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, you are responsible for the organization, planning and successful delivery of Bus tours and Events. You will oversee the Bus Crew Department and will work closely with all departments within the company especially the sales and marketing team, Booking Department and staffing agencies to ensure Rocket events meet the highest service standards, whilst ensuring they are profitable; fully compliant with Health and Safety Jaws; and venue regulations. You will also be required to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and venues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Bus crew Team by taking a lead role with regards to the planning, organisation and delivery of all operational aspects of company events
  • Attend clients' meetings and visits when required
  • Collaborate with the HR department for recruitment activities and employee relations cases
  • Ordering and controlling hired equipment for bus crew
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Partners and stakeholder to ensure we are able to successfully execute all tours and the company's long term interests are maintained
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure Brigit's Bakery meets requirements for tours
  • Train the Bus crew
  • Collaborate with the HR department for recruitment activities and employee relations cases
  • Ensure all practical communication with the Bus crew and drivers is conducted in a prompt and efficient manner i.e. boarding procedure, delivery schedules
  • Attend weekly Head of Department meetings to review event feedback and identify future operations re­quirements
  • Any other reasonable duty requested by your Line Manager

Booking Agent

We are currently recruiting a Booking Agent for our Head Office based in Bermondsey.

He/she will be reporting to the Booking Office Manager provide a professional service which meets standards, ensuring that the customer needs are met.

As Booking Agent you will:

  • Respond to all queries in a timely and professional manner via telephone and email
  • Arrange Bus tours and Afternoon Tea experience
  • Response for event reservation and inform the operation department accordingly
  • Constantly advise customers with regards new products and offers
  • Identifies customer’s needs to guide them towards the best product/service that will meet their requirements
  • Liaise with the booking and operation departments on daily basis
  • Be proactive in following up any reviews and ensure additional customer service will be provided
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by your line manager

Personal Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar job
  • Be confident when dealing with clients by phone and by email
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast pace environment
  • Be a Team player and flexible
  • Well organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Show a willingness to learn with a proactive attitude
  • Good timekeeping
  • Fluent in English both Written and Spoken


  • Knowledge of other languages

Our Booking team will work 5 days out of 7 including weekends and on shifts to ensure and deliver the best customer service.

Kitchen Porter & Bus Crew Assistant


Duties included (but not limited to) are:

As a Kitchen Porter & Bus Crew Assistant, you will be amongst to keep all the work surfaces and areas (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised.

  • Wash cookware, utensils and cutleries fast to keep them in rotation
  • Maintain the stocktake up to date
  • Support the kitchen team with basic tasks such as food dispatch or basic preparation when needed
  • Support the Bus Crew in with the morning tasks, such as setting loading and organising the buses
  • Check that the daily schedules and kitchen lists match our E-commerce bookings
  • Liaise with the office and familiarise yourself with our booking system and different menus.
  • Keep the stockroom organised and inform your line manager of work progress and making sure all products have the correct shelf live and they are stored correctly

Experience & Attributes

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is ideal
  • 2/3 years of experience
  • Fun Personality, energetic & enthusiastic
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work within a team and on own initiative

Bakery Waiter



  • To provide professional and friendly service to all clients.
  • As a Waiter/Waitress, support guests with general enquiries, providing accurate and detailed information
  • Prepare daily schedules and kitchen lists to match the Ecommerce and other online bookings
  • Become fully familiar with all our Suppliers and how to place orders.
  • To ensure that Guest details are kept confidential and not distributed to any unauthorised personnel
  • Inform guests of all changes to their booking, if any.
  • As a Waiter/Waitress you will be the first point of contact for guests – having thorough knowledge of our Bakery, offering and T&C’s is paramount.
  • Making sure that dietary requirement and any intolerances are well managed.
    Be fully trained in 1st Aid and Fire Risk assessment

Experience & Attributes

  • Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress gained in a 4/5* environment is ideal
  • Working knowledge iphone-ipad
  • Contagious personality, energetic & enthusiastic
  • Skill in Human Resources and Health & Safety is highly beneficial
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Must be 100% fluent in English
  • Able to work within a team and on own initiative (A Self Starter)
