How can I purchase tickets for your Bus Tours?

What payment types are accepted?

Is booking in advance required?

Yes, you must book in advance, as seats may not be available at the door before departure.

Will the bus wait if I am late?

The bus cannot wait for latecomers, passengers are requested to arrive at the boarding point 20 minutes prior the departure time. Our buses have to leave on the dot, refunds will not be given in case of lateness. No boarding is allowed outside of the departure gate, late passengers are not allowed to catch the bus on route or attempt to jump on board.

Is there a toilet on-board?

No, there is no toilet on board our buses. There are public toilets at Victoria Coach Station, which you can use prior to boarding the bus. There are no public toilets at the Trafalgar Square or Somerset House departure points.

There is a toilet on-board the Official Peppa Pig Bus, which is for children only in an emergency.

What days do we operate?

Ours bus tours operate every day and are subject to seasonal demand. Please check the website or call us to check for availability.

What are the tour times?

We have daily tours departing at: 12:00 . 12:30 . 14:30 . 15:00 . 17:00
Fri, Sat & Sun we have additional tours at: 13:00 . 15:30
For evening tours please check online for availability.
Our themed tour times vary. Please check our website for individual tour times, dates and availability.

How long is the bus tour?

Our bus tours last for approximately 80 minutes. This depends on traffic and timings are out of our control, so please be flexible with your schedule for after the tour!

Where does the bus depart from?

We have three departure points. All buses leave and return to the same point. Please refer to our Bus Routes & Departure Points page for further information. Please also check individual tours for the departure point. The departure point will be shown on our online booking site and the time of reserving your seat.

Is the bus wheelchair accessible?

To allow a great experience for all wheelchair users, we modified the bottom level of one of our Routemaster buses to add a ramp. The conversion is the first of its kind in a 1960 classic vehicle. And, we believe, it's a real step forward for the inclusivity and accessibility of private event transport in London.

Our adaptations allow for one wheelchair to be fully secured and strapped in (facing forward) at Table 4. We also have an option to comfortably accommodate two additional wheelchair users. This is as long as the passengers can transfer to a table seat. We can accommodate the additional customers at Tables 1, 2, or 4 and store wheelchairs on board for the duration of the tour.

Are the bus tours suitable for children?

Yes, our bus tours are suitable for children over five years of age.

Brigit’s Classic and Themed Bus Tours are not suitable for young children and babies. Children under five years old are not permitted on these bus tours. There is a discounted rate for 5-11 year olds.

The Official Peppa Pig Bus Tour is suitable for children aged 2 and older. There is a discounted rate for 2-11 year olds. Photographic ID might be asked to be shown to confirm the children’s age.

The Gin Lovers Bus Tour is for over 18 only.

I would love to book a Peppa bus tour – why is it only for over 5’s?

We accept children from 2 years old on board our Peppa Pig afternoon tea bus tour. We do not accept children under 5 years old on board our Classic afternoon tea bus tours, so please make sure you select the right tour. You should always see the Peppa Pig icon when selecting your tour and bear in mind that our Peppa Pig tours are always departing from Somerset House by Victoria Embankment at 12:15, 14:45 and occasionally 17:30, any other tour is not the Peppa Pig afternoon tea bus tour.

Do you allow babies on board?

We do not allow babies on board. We only allow children from 2 years of age on our Peppa Pig afternoon tea bus tours and children from 5 years old for the Classic afternoon tea bus tours. Our Gin tours are Adult only.

What’s the alcohol policy?

Alcohol is pre-sold only. No alcohol can be purchased on-board the bus. You must book your alcoholic beverages in advance whilst booking online or over the phone. Brigit’s follows a Challenge 25 Policy. ID is required. No refunds will be given if no photographic ID is shown.

I’ve booked a tour what time do we have to be there?

We would advise you to arrive at the departure location with 15 to 20 minutes in advance for the boarding process.

Do you provide gluten free / vegetarian / nut free / dairy free / vegan options?

We offer traditional, vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free afternoon teas to suit all. Unfortunately, we are NOT nut or peanut free. Please specify upon booking or call us/email if you would like to change it at least two days before the event. Please note that whilst gluten free flour and ingredients are used and great care is taken, the food is prepared in the same kitchen as the standard menu so for those with coeliac disease we cannot provide a 100% guarantee that the food will be gluten free.

Are group bookings available?

Group bookings are available. You can hire out the top or bottom floor for groups of 20 and 12 respectively. It’s also possible to hire out the entire bus. Please call us on 020 3026 1188 and one of the team will be able to advise you.

Is the bus available for private hire?

Yes, you can find out more about hiring a bus in our Private Hire section. We create bespoke packages for your specific requirements. Alternatively, please call us on 020 3026 1188 and one of the team will be able to advise you.

What is your refund policy?

For individuals

We require full payment of the bill in order to ensure the booking.

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, we will give you a full refund minus the Cancellation Fee (£10 per person). (known as the cool down period)
  • If you cancel more than 24 hours after booking, we will not refund any of your fare. You may prefer to change your tour instead.
  • Changing fee of £22.5 per person for tours within 2 weeks of change request.
  • Changing fee of £10 per person for tours further than 2 weeks from change request.

For Groups (+ 10 people)

We require a 50% down payment of the total bill in order to ensure the booking which is non-refundable.

2 weeks prior your booking we require the full payment which is non-refundable.

What happens if the bus breaks down or Brigit’s have to cancel a tour?

As we are operating a 1960 Routemaster bus we reserve the right to cancel or suspend a tour if required and with no prior notice. If this were to happen, we would offer you a place on another tour, free of charge, subject to availability.

If an issue arises due to mechanical reasons, we will try our best to replace the bus within 60 minutes. If unsuccessful, we would offer you a place on another tour, free of charge, subject to availability.

What I should know before boarding the bus?

  • Please read and understand our Terms & Conditions.
  • Brigit’s Bus Tours take no responsibility for items left on the bus.
  • Personal items are carried at the owner’s risk and the Brigit’s Bus can take no responsibility for items damaged or lost.
  • Smoking is not permitted on the bus.
  • You must keep the lid on hot drinks at all times.
  • Brigit’s Afternoon Tea Ltd is not responsible for any damage caused by the infringement of the rules.

I have sent an urgent email how long do you take to respond?

Please email us at bus@b-bakery.com and one our booking department assistants will contact you as soon as possible during office hours.

Which safety measures have been put in place for social distancing?

In accordance with the Public Health England (PHE) guidelines, we are excited to welcome you all back on board the Brigit’s Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus Tours very soon. The schedule of bus tours will be limited in the shorter term as the safety and peace of mind of our guests and staff remain our utmost priority. We have put in place some additional precautionary measures in line with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE):

  • The bus tours will run at reduced capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines. Each party will be seated with the required distance from other guests.
  • Staff will be wearing masks at all times. Guests will not be required to wear masks on board as we serve food and drink during the afternoon tea bus tours.
  • Passengers are required to wear masks when boarding, but are permitted to remove them during the tour.
  • Staff will be wearing disposable gloves.
  • Hand sanitiser will be provided on board and all guests will be asked to sanitise their hands on entering and exiting the bus.
  • As always, guests will be served their beverages in their own brand new reusable cup which they are encouraged to take home after the tour.
  • Refills will be done one at a time to further reduce any potential risk for cross contamination across parties.
  • The lead booker must have full contact details of each person in their booking for any potential contact tracing requirements.
  • Guests will be boarded and seated on to the bus from the front to back, and will be asked to exit in reverse order from back to front in order to further minimise close contact between guests.

We will continue to take guidance from the HSE and PHE and implement any changes required.

I have tried to book and although it says there’s availability it won’t let me pick a table?

Sometimes, our tables may be attempted to be booked by multiple customers at the same time and therefore the table might show as available but you will not be able to proceed with the booking process. In this case, please contact our office team via phone during office hours at 020 3026 1188 or e-mail at bus@b-bakery.com and they would be happy to assist you.

When are Virgin Experience vouchers valid for?

The Virgin vouchers have different validity depending on the tour. For Peppa these are valid for weekdays and weekends, Gin tours - weekdays and weekends and Classic tours Monday to Friday.

Please check the terms and conditions of your Virgin Experience voucher in order to avoid confusion.

Do you offer an NHS Discount?

Yes, we offer a 20% discount for NHS workers. Please send us a picture of your valid NHS card in order to apply the discount. You can email this to us at bus@b-bakery.com. The discount is only applicable upon booking.
