Christmas afternoon tea ideas
Are you looking for Christmas afternoon tea ideas this December? Perhaps you’re organising and hosting your own tea party? Or maybe you’d like some help in looking for the perfect festive afternoon tea to treat a dear friend or a loved one this Christmas? Either or, here are some ideas for you.
Hosting your own Christmas afternoon tea party
If you’re looking to host the perfect Christmas tea party at home, scones, sweet treats, and some savoury bites to enjoy at teatime are a must. But what to include in a Christmas afternoon tea? And how do you organise a tea party or how do you make a tea party special?
When it comes to savouries, treat your guests with a good selection of finger sandwiches. You could try a few festive combinations, like brie and cranberry or ham and chutney. Or how about a sandwich filled with turkey and cranberry sauce? Nothing screams more Christmas than that!
As for cakes, why not impress friends and family with seasonal and themed treats, like mince pies, gingerbread men, or even a delicious home-made chocolate yule log? Or how about a three-chocolate Christmas pudding, to please both the dark chocolate and the white chocolate lovers in the group? After all, it is Christmas – you’re allowed to indulge!
Add good-quality tea and coffee, an abundance of scones and cream, and a glass of champagne or two (who doesn’t appreciate a good bottle of Laurent-Perrier?), and enjoy your afternoon tea in the comfort of your living room while admiring your Christmas tree.
If you’re after some Christmas tea ideas for recipes or decorations, you can find plenty of inspiration on Pinterest.
