  • The tour lasts approximately 90-minutes (depending on traffic)

Where does the bus depart from?

NORTHUMBERLAND AVE
Outside the Corinthia Hotel, 10 Northumberland Avenue, WC2N 5AP

Only a 4 minute walk from Charing Cross Train station and 2 minutes from Embankment underground. The bus will be parked at the bus stop outside the Corinthia London Hotel. There are no public toilets in the vicinity. There is a toilet onboard for children. The bus leaves and returns from the same point.

Is there a toilet on-board and changing facilities?

No, there is no toilet or changing facilities on-board our Cat in the Hat Afternoon Tea Bus Tours.

Why is the tour for over 4s only and do you allow babies?

Due to the length of the tour and having no toilets or changing facilities on board the bus, our Cat in the Hat tours are best suited, and enjoyed, by children of 4 years and over. Parents / guardians must be confident that all persons in their party will not need to use toilet facilities for the duration of the whole experience.

Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the 90min tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

Our Peppa Pig & PAW Patrol London tea bus tours are for children aged 2 and over.

We do NOT allow babies on board. We do allow babies on-board the bus if the whole bus is booked for private hire. Check out our Private Hire page or call us on 020 3026 1188 and one of the team will be able to advise you.

Whichever Christmas lights bus tour you choose, you’ll be warm, cosy, and surrounded by festive cheer as London sparkles outside your window.

Will we be able to get off the bus?

No, the bus is only permitted to pick up and drop off passengers at our designated locations.

Are there seatbelts for the children?

No, we operate a 1960’s classic Routemaster bus, which was not fitted with seatbelts. We are not required to install seatbelts for health and safety. Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

How many people fit on a table and will we have to share?

Our tables sit up to four guests in a cosy setting. Let’s remember these are the original Routemaster bus seats and we’ve all got a lot larger than our 1960’s relations! Please bear this in mind when booking for your group.

Our VIP seating is for two guests and is situated on the upper deck at the very front of the bus.

If you are a group of 5, either book two tables near one another via our online booking system. Or alternatively, call our bookings team and we’d be happy to help you choose the best options available for your tour of choice.

Can we bring our own food for children with allergies or fussy eaters?

Yes. Please mention dietary requirements upon booking, but in the case we cannot meet your needs, own food is permitted.

Would you advise having two children per adult maximum?

What’s not included in my ticket price?

Alcoholic beverages are not included in your ticket price. You can pre-purchase Champagne, Prosecco or alcohol-free bubbles to your tea upon booking your tour. Please note: we are unable to sell alcohol onboard the bus.
