Our founding story
Brigit's Bakery was founded in 2014 by Cedric Bloch, who envisioned a distinctive afternoon tea experience that would celebrate both his French heritage and the rich British tradition of tea. After the first classic Routemaster bus was purchased, our innovative Afternoon Tea Bus Tour was born. Our mission was to blend sightseeing with a high-quality afternoon tea experience - a vision that has flourished over the years, leading to numerous themed experiences, an expanding fleet, and successful collaborations with other brands.

- Our historic Routemaster buses are regularly maintained for optimal efficiency, and we are exploring greener travel solutions for the future.
- We recycle wherever possible and provide recycling points in our Covent Garden café.
- We maintain the highest food safety standards (SALSA approved) and work towards reducing our overall environmental impact each year.

We're also in the process of developing, in tandem with a local coach works company, the first-ever electric Routemaster bus. This project will pave the road for the vintage Routemaster bus to ride into the future.
Meet the Team
Brigit's Bakery is powered by a passionate and dedicated team, including our founder Cedric Bloch, whose resilience inspires us all.
He was awarded the prestigious title of CEO of the Year at the 16th Disabled Entrepreneur Awards in 2024 by Sir Stelios, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and Leonard Cheshire.
He also recently won an award for Inclusive Innovation in Hospitality and Tourism at the BLÉ Global Recognition Awards 2025. After a life-changing accident, he launched the world’s first fully accessible Routemaster bus, setting a new standard for inclusive tourism. His work brings together culture, enterprise and innovation in a way that opens doors for others and delivers impact that lasts.
With a wealth of experience in hospitality and culinary arts, our team - comprising talented pastry chefs who are passionate about their craft - is committed to creating magical moments for each guest by carefully designing exquisite pastries and delightful treats that continue to elevate our afternoon tea experience.
