Father's Day Bus Tour FAQs

Will we be able to get off the bus?

No, the bus is only permitted to pick up and drop off passengers at our designated locations.

Are there seatbelts for the children?

No, we operate a 1960’s classic Routemaster bus, which was not fitted with seatbelts. We are not required to install seatbelts for health and safety. Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

How many people fit on a table and will we have to share?

Our tables sit up to four guests in a cosy setting. Let’s remember these are the original Routemaster bus seats and we’ve all got a lot larger than our 1960’s relations! Please bear this in mind when booking for your group.

Our VIP seating is for two guests and is situated on the upper deck at the very front of the bus.

If you are a group of 5, either book two tables near one another via our online booking system. Or alternatively, call our bookings team and we’d be happy to help you choose the best options available for your tour of choice.

Can we bring our own food for children with allergies or fussy eaters?

Yes. Please mention dietary requirements upon booking, but in the case we cannot meet your needs, own food is permitted.

Would you advise having two children per adult maximum?

This is at parents' discretion. Please be advised that no standing or walking is permitted during the tour. Parents are responsible for assessing whether their children are capable of remaining seated on parents' laps or on their own for the duration of the tour. Parents are also responsible for keeping their children seated during the tour.

What’s not included in my ticket price?

Alcoholic beverages are not included in your ticket price. You can pre-purchase Champagne, Prosecco or alcohol-free bubbles to your tea upon booking your tour. Please note: we are unable to sell alcohol onboard the bus.

Why choose Brigit’s Bakery?

We have spent over 15 years perfecting what we do. We created London’s original Afternoon Tea Bus Tour on board our iconic 1960s Routemaster bus back in 2013, and we still lead with the same passion for quality, craft and service that shaped us from day one.

Our heritage comes from a family background in hotels and restaurants. Food and hospitality sit at the centre of every decision we make. You feel it in the welcome. You taste it in every bite.

Our French-trained pastry chefs bring precision and flair to each menu. We bake fresh daily, using classic techniques and refined presentation. You enjoy delicate patisserie, balanced flavours and beautifully finished cakes that reflect true French training.

We pair our sweet treats with carefully selected savoury bites. Each afternoon tea is crafted with expertise and intention, delivering a truly award-winning experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

If you want to understand our story, our values and the people behind the experience, read our About page and see why so many guests return to us year after year.

What activities are there onboard?

There is a recorded guide commentary on our buses and friendly servers to answer any questions!

Is the Classic Routemaster bus available for private hire?

Yes, you can find out more about hiring a bus on our Private Hire page. We create bespoke packages for your specific requirements. Alternatively, please call us on 020 3026 1188 and one of the team will be able to advise you.

A deliciously British experience!

The whole experience was incredible. Went there as a surprise to my friends and we absolutely loved it! We enjoyed every bite of this delicious afternoon tea. Needless to say we ate everything…! The tour was also a delight. Weather was nice and allowed us to see all the beautiful landmarks perfectly.

Fantastic birthday gift

I booked this for 5 Adults for my sisters 40th Birthday and have to say it was amazing!! The food was delicious, the selection of drinks too, and the attention to detail was so cute! You got to keep the hot tea flasks that drinks were served in - and they gave out little pink takeaway boxes for any spare cakes! I will be highly recommending this to my friends!

Superb experience

Booked this as a surprise for my daughter before seeing a London show. What an overall amazing experience. From getting on the bus to leaving the bus it was worth every penny, driving around London seeing the key sights and the food was gorgeous. We had the vegetarian and they were varied and fresh. Giving a little box to take home uneaten sandwiches/cakes was genius as it was more than it looked. The staff were so friendly and helpful and I highly recommend this and we will do it again.

Fantastic Experience

Booked for 2 couples (all around aged 50 😉) for tour and afternoon tea. Greeted by very pleasant and fun staff. Sandwiches and cakes were already at our table and very well presented. Tasted great and was more than enough (couldn't finish it all). We had 2 bottles prosecco pre-ordered and both were chilled and served as required. Good mix of upbeat music for all ages played throughout the 90 minute tour. Little snippets of information on the sites thrown in too

Celebrating an occasion

We took our friends on an afternoon tea on Brigit's Bus, the food and service was excellent, the staff we very friendly and we had a lovely time celebrating the friends Golden Wedding Anniversary. The weather was cloudy but it did not spoil the trip. It was a lovely afternoon. We look forward to doing it again.
